Retro Gaming feels thread: post experiences

>be 15 in 2012
>have to move to unfinished house for school
>can't bring computer, only my consoles, because parents still sleep at other house
>break hand so I can't play any N64 games except for Pokemon Stadium
>beat every NES game I have except for Castlevania with broken hand
>spend at least an hour daily playing it to beat it, smoking weed while playing it occasionally
>spend 2 months until it's done
>mfw at 18, I still can't beat it
>feels bad man

>got through the game twice only to get bullied by the Red Arremer near the end of the game and the final boss because the bracelet is such a shit weapon

I finally thought I would fucking do it yesterday, after 20+ years of getting raped by this game... but it won again.

That happened to me at 16 with some cannabis oil, and Batman the Video Game. I died to the first possible enemy every time and still had a blast.

Vaguely related but after a certain festival I came home piss drunk and booted up my SNES with Super Gameboy + Super Mario Land 2 on it. I couldn't even see straight, everything was in double and I died on the first enemies of Tree Zone 1 but the whole time I laughed my ass off.
