It's clearly just a regular gameboy modded for coaxial output.

probably not much interest since all the games can be emulated perfectly on a tv for much cheaper.

I own a nice amount of originals but im getting old, my eyes.. I would like to get a kiosk but $4000 ???? Super Gameboy & Gameboy player sucks IMO

how is a super gameboy worse? it's literally just a gameboy in a snes. it costs 20 dollars anywhere i've looked. and provides different filters for dem ol' eye balls. like clean b&w.

You gotta check out emulation. I know I'll get some arguments but it's super cheap and only a genuine robot can tell the difference in gameplay on a system this old. They've been developing great emulators for it for years now. Use a desktop, laptop, or a $35 retropie. Whichever you choose you won't be disappointed by the gameplay using an emulator.

More like custom super gameboy, but yes. You can totally get results like your pic by fiddling with the SGB, down to the border text.

This, most games emulate 100% perfect or just shy of it.

Also, what's with your eyes OP?

Nigger, have you heard of GBL-UUL? Gameboy Loader Ultra Low Latency? It's an emulator that uses your GBP hardware and physical games, and it performs without stutter 100% of the time.

what's wrong with the SGB?

I'm aware it runs at a slightly faster speed than a normal gameboy, but wouldn't that be actually something good? it's like an overclocked gameboy.

I played most of my GB games on the SGB when I was a kid, great stuff.

How many fps do you lose when you blink. There's no actual functional difference from the perspective of the player.

I'm sure I have a larger collection than you boxed in my closet. I emulate because it's less messy. Sorry for being lazy instead of poor.

I know right. I was just trying to be helpful. I guess I don't have the street cred around here. All I know is gameboy games look better on my tv and I personally find them more enjoyable to play that way. I can understand the gripes with emulating on some of the later consoles but something like game boy has been well sorted out for years.

SGB doesn't run the same speed though SGB2 fixes that issue.

>> No.2710480

>>2710465

Just to clarify your post, SGB runs at a slightly FASTER speed. I don't think it's a big issue. If it was slower then yeah.

I think I played a machine exactly like this in FAO Schwartz in Chicago in the summer of 94

I played Donkey Kong on it, and later asked for it for my 10th birthday that august

I played it constantly that fall, and beat the game on new years eve, while riding in the back of the car on the way to my grandparents in the U.P. of michigan

I've only played Pokémon Gold on it and while I did not notice any speeding gameplay wise, not that it's a fast-paced game anyways, I did notice speeding in the music.

Seconding this

>> No.2710636

It's a Game Boy with a video out mod. It gets combined with a border simulating the Game Boy's screen, filling out the 224p or 240p display.
Everything is output in monochrome and the display has a sheet of translucent, green plastic to simulate that disgusting screen.
