Right. But this means I either need more space for loops... or can't do loops/corkscrews anymore.

Because, for some reason, it's saying a part in a hill is "unsuitable" for the trains.
Also, +15% Excitement Factor looks downright OP when compared to +10% Intensity Factor.

Put in rides. Shuttle loop-style.

Single: shuttle loop to first base
Line Drive: Flat boost to third base and beyond at a crazy speed.
Shortstop: Boost up above second base (or shortstop), brake / stop, then come back down (either complete circuit or shuttle design)
Grand slam: Boost up to above the center of the park (I suggest a steep hill), arc back down steeply, then back up to the center field bleachers (simulate a home run).

that looks amazing compared to your previous loopers. The layout is still unrealistic (3 180 degree turnarounds at high speed, each of which you would probably never see on a schwartzkopf that size, but knowing that sort of stuff comes with practice and being a nerd for long enough) but is feasible in real life.

Those stats are not shit at all btw. Even for something so compact that is a short track length, so everything is scaled down, but the E>I>N ratio is really good

The "allow testing of unfinished rides" only applies to test mode. If you want to open the ride, open the gold cheat window, check "show all operating modes" and set it to powered launch with a speed of 1 or 2 MPH. Powered launch doesn't require a complete circuit so you'll be able to open and run the ride, albeit only with one car/train. Also power launching go karts at absurd velocities is way funnier than it should be.

And it's October, so the waterpark part of it was closed.

I only went because they give each family 5 tickets and I haven't been to King's Island since they closed Son of Beast for good.

Maybe you mistyped this because going when there's rain usually works out well. Less people at the park so you don't have to wait in line.

Especially if you're going to some place like Alton Towers where almost every ride runs in the rain.
Last I was there it was just drizzling yet only Air (the lie-down) was closed and there was a max of ~3min waits on every ride.
Only downside is getting hit in the eye with rain during inversions. Shit hurts.

This. So much this. Went to Six Flags Over Texas on a drizzly Saturday morning a few months ago. This was right after the flooding and such, so everyone expected lots more rain. But it cleared up by the time we got on the first coaster, and everything but La Vibora and the Runaway Mine Train was open during the day. Never had more than a 15min line on a saturday at the end of may because all the families stayed home.

Always go when the park first opens in the morning. When I went to Disneyland I could hit like 8 rides within an hour. By the time breakfast was over the "average" crowds were filling in, and by night all the "here for the night show" crowds were filling up every walkable piece of ground.

It's confirmed; you can't build piece by piece in game.

In the demo there was no way to raise scenery pieces or rides either.

the game doesn't come with any small pieces. Now, people can just upload small pieces themselves to steam workshop right, no big deal right? Bu you can't shift-raise them, so you can't for example raise a roof in the air or stack a bunch of walls to make a tower in game, you're gonna have to do it via some 3D modelling program outside the game.

Give it a slight drop coming out of the station to get it going into a u-turn before the lift if you want to keep things a bit more compact.
The main issue I have with straight lifts out of the station is that there doesn't tend to be much of the coaster by the station without it being either a really long coaster or having another neglected area that the track covers.

imo, add some different tree types and a few other bush types. i really like the actual landscaping.

I am not a fan of when water looks like that, just doesn't look right imo. It just looks weird, like infinity pools.

I'd add more shrubs and bulrushes personally. The ones that are in the default flower section look good. It looks good, anon.

Not bad, but it looks a little sparse. Add trees in clumps together, then use zero clearances to place bushes underneath them to make it look like brush underneath. You can also plant a few flowers here and there to give it some color, but stick to only one or two colors or it'll start to look messy.

So I decided to go and try to make a good inverting coaster that's under 35ft tall. I think I mostly succeeded here. TECHNICALLY it's 40ft from the highest point to the lowest, but all you need to use it with a scenario height restriction is a 4 square, 5ft deep trench.

For as many corkscrews and rolls as that inverted has, it's got an extremely smooth run.
Looks amazing.

I was deliberately trying to keep it as smooth as possible, which dictated the way some of the turns were done. Had to stop and redo it several times, but eventually got it to work. Still overly proud of the big final drop, since most coasters tend to just gradually slow down and lose their pizzaz as they near the end, while this one has the largest drop there.

Here's what it looked like in it's initial design, where it was a compact inverted coaster. Stats are lower, and the capacity is crap instead of amazing.

While the grass and broken dock are excellent, just keep the water all one color. The tri-color ruins it.

Just a thought, but what if for this Spooktober we concentrated on scenery porn over rides? Basically no thrill or water rides with gentle and transport being okay with everyone being given a workbench of specific size with specific spooky scenery included and then see how nice of a park you can get without any rollercoasters or trill rides in it?
