It's only the purple accents that make it look ugly, the design itself is pretty cool!

And the blocky shape. The cartridges share that blocky shape. I agree, though, the colour scheme is the worst thing about it, they should have used the traditional SNES colour scheme on the console and controller. Oh, and it was made of a cheaper plastic than the SNES.

Equinox is a very good, and very difficult, action adventure game, if you like Action Adventure games that make you feel alone like Metroid or Ecco the Dolphin.
It was made by the same company that made Plok, another hidden gem (though more popular) and Solstice on the NES.
Kick ass Tim Follins music too.

Not terribly obscure, but Super Baseball Simulator 1.000 always gets forgotten about on SNES because of Ken Griffey Baseball. SBS was so much more reliable and fair.
