It's so strange. I had really loved Gargoyle's Quest on the gameboy, and then I quite enjoyed Demon's Crest even though it lacked the RPG quest side. But for some reason it never occurred to me to pick up the NES game.

Just last night I decided to try it out and holy shit I'm hooked. This game is freaking fantastic.

Similar experiences welcome!

While a little unorthodox compared to other entries in the series, this game really showed the power of the GBC. It has good exploration and puzzles, along with a pretty neat combat system to boot! Plus you can play as Barry and Leon, the best characters from the RE series. I'm glad that this was released instead of the RE port Capcom was working on for the GBC.

big fan of Capcom NES Disney games, but for some reason never played Talespin. probably because I never watched it growing up and it's mixed reviews. finally played a couple months ago, and it's absolutely fantastic. it's an action game disguised as shooter, with original fun mechanics. highly rec'd

The original Tomb Raider. I guess I was just too young to appreciate the exploration and clunky, but precise controls. I remember it boring me and didn't understand the good reviews it got - also hated the grainy textures. Really grown on me over the years thouhh.
