So I beat Thief 2 recently and I've been looking for some decent FMs. I've tried going down the highest ranking list on thiefmissions.com but the highest ones seem to almost entirely be poorly cobbled together shit.

Any suggestions?

Go away.

Admittedly I didn't play those because of the super generic titles. I like stuff with horror and supernatural themes to it.

when is the highest rated stuff not horrible shit? Most mods are downloaded by kids who don't have credit cards to get new games so they freak out over stupid mods. Kids have shit taste so they like shit mods.

If you're more specific about what you want, people can give you suggestions. The Inverted Manse is a highly rated horror missions that involved exploring underground tunnels and ruins with dead things creeping around.

A good place to start is to say which of the original missions you liked best and what you want more of.

If you really like The Bonehard, for example, people will tell you to play Sepulchre of the Sinistral. If you like the Mechanists and robots and want to sneak around a mechanist facility, play Hidden Agenda.

There's lot of good new stuff but it's all kinda tailored to different tastes so you have to know what you're looking for.

I honestly fucking hated the Mechanists and their metal abominations, but I loved stuff like Bonehoard with undead horror and anything involving pagans.

My favorite T2 mission was the one where you follow the pagan through a portal and explore around the areas themed after seasons.

I didn't much care for levels involving the undead. They're very stupid and not dynamic like living characters.

Maybe they pose a greater challenge if you're accustomed to clubbing everyone you encounter but I just find them dull.

In that case, Relic - Left For Dead and Trail of Blood 2 will be right up your alley.

Which ones have you played specifically?

The Inverted Manse stands out to me as being very well put together, with a lot of custom assets that don't feel out of place.

Conspiracies in the Dark, Between These Dark Walls, and Endless Rain are some similar missions by the same author. Lots of verticality, huge maps, and overall very good looking.

I don't feel like writing something for each of these but Ominous Bequest, Lorgan's Web, Rose Cottage, Sepulchre of the Sinistral, and A Better Tomorrow are some other favorites. Some of them are more cobbled together than others (Lorgan's Web comes to mind), but they're good despite that. You'll find that some FMs differ greatly from the main games.
