Yeah, I know its the boring choice. But it's some of the greatest 16-bit music ever composed, and hearing that music while the magitek armor walked through the snowy plains, with Narshe coming up on the horizon gave me chills the first time I saw it.

I have the feeling most good composers were working on the GB. Manfred Linzer, Alberto Gonzalez, Mark Cooksey and Jonathan Dunn mostly worked on the GB/C. It's really funny, if you look at Infogrammes 16-bit line up, most of it sounds bad, but all the 8-bit games sound amazing.

Having a hard time bringing all the ones I liked to mind but for now I'd put Kirby's Adventure up there

The intro theme of NES Uninvited is probably the only actually decent song in that game, the actual game has a couple ho-hum songs and a lot of garbage

Do attract mode intros on arcade games count? If so I'd give it to VF1, Alpha 2, LB2 and KOF98 (who else hears KOF and immediately remembers "It all began in '94"?)
