Among the two weaker humans though, I prefer Ray. He's better against bosses than Sheena because his close-range Spread gun is powerful. And this game is all about bosses.

Fang is only babby mode if you know that one exploit. Otherwise he's pretty hard to use since all of his good weapons have a slow fire rate and require you to be up close.

Fang still has to get through the stages. In addition, his special moves actually require you to put yourself in harm's way to get some damage. Brownie can just run away from everything and shoot one of his two (2!) homing weapons.

Plus, Fang has the biggest sprite in the game, making him a bigger target for enemies, and he also has the shortest slide in the game, meaning your slide game has to be on point to survive.

1. Her homing spread makes it almost impossible to take damage on non-boss patterns.

2. Decent damage and range on 2 different weapon (laser and grenades). Compared to brownie and fang she suffers a lot less if she loses a weapon on a boss fight. The lob on the grenade also gives her more freedom of movement when attacking targets at higher altitude than her.

test it out yourself. Every character has the same slide. his slightly bigger hitbox means nothing unless it's your first time playing

also, some dummy spread the rumor that Sheena's upgraded A shot is stronger than everyone else's. Absolute rubbish. Her upgraded A shot is the same as Ray and Browny's. Fang's upgraded A shot however is much more powerful.

doesn't matter. brownie and fang will kill every single boss in a fraction of the time as her, therefore reducing the chances of actually getting killed by any bosses.
