Could you guys please recommend me some good mario-like platformers that have local coop (on any console)?

We finished Super Mario Wii recently, which has local coop, but I can't recall if any other older marios ever had local coop (not where you play a stage/life each, but where you're ingame at the same time)?

But any local coop platformer suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

Not retro, but Super Mario Bros. X (IIRC the name) on PC
On consoles, any DKC has Co-op in some way (also competitive mode)

Oh my god I loved this game so fucking much.

I can't remember but, is there a stage with sweets? I remember playing that and I think there was Pluto as a playable character, is that another game or is it WoI?

Definitely not the best platformer out there, but Asterix & Obelix on the SNES has coop.

That seems hard to forget, are you sure you've played any other Mario games?

At least one of the Mickey Mouse games for SNES, plus both Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers games for NES.

That was Castle of Illusion, the first Genesis Mickey Mouse game.

I just checked a full gameplay of it, but it's not it. I vividly remember playing it on the playstation for some reason, but I already checked all Mickey games for the playstation.

I think it was two player, as I mentioned, Goofy was a playable character I think.

I remember that on the sweets level there were pink clouds and you could I think surf or fly through the level, it was going really fast basically. I think I also remember something about big pink jelly.

That game was so much fun, but I can't remember it. World of Illusion's first sage looks so familiar that I think that's it, but I can't find the level I'm describing in WoI
