Can't say much about the Japanese SMB2 or Super Mario Land as I never played those much.

64's camera takes getting used to but it's not too bad. I never had any glaring problems with it unlike, say, Resident Evil.

That's bullshit. But yeah Genesis was actually the dudebro console. Every fucking dudebro know loved that shit for the sports games. You could expect any retard whose brain functionality was constrained outside of the cerebellum to basically own a Genesis and suck up the endless clones of NHL/NFL/NBA/FIFA games. The same kind of shit that the PSX was known for.
The system was decent on it's own and it had it's share of good games though.
The SNES on the other hand had mostly faggot MLP loving mouth breathing neckbeards in their prototypical pre-naruto headband larvae stage.
So it's not like either system was free of shitty community. Absolute fucking retards were common on both systems. It's not like those were the only two shitty groups either. You can look at all the sonichu fags and mario fags as well. Zelda fans largely escape this group because they really only really came into their own as a gigantically shitty fanbase from OoT onward. That's largely the start of all the ladyboners for little boys and it got worse as they pushed him even more femboy with the series, combined with the fact that OoT was effectively the first Zelda game for a boatload of new kids and was the highest selling Zelda game until TP.
