>Why was it so bad anyway?
You've built it as if it were a rollercoaster. Minature railways and trains in general almost never change height by much, yet yours goes up and down by 40 feet or more for almost no reason.

>How can I make it good?
Tunnels, bridges, have it follow embankments / touching the ground as much as possible, having it float in the air is horrid.
Always try to think of ways to keep the railways going up or down hills to an absolute minimum even if you have to play with the land to make it work. It's probably going to be a very tricky park to make it work on.

I'm planning to make a seneriao or few in line with a 'steampunk' theme, but the current ATM and the first aid room would clash too much with the medieval shop stalls. My plan was to recolour the stalls somewhat, and create custom shops to replace the ATM and the like.

Imagine if it were an intentional suicide. A few minutes before his death, he got to ride a nice coaster, one that may have been his favorite roller coaster of all time. Then he allowed that roller coaster to kill him. Pretty badass way to an hero imo.

Why was that roller coaster so significant to him? He was in his 20s when The Raptor was built. Maybe he rode it back then and it he associated the coaster with his youth. It was a happier time. Imagine he rode that coaster with his ex, the love of his life. Their ride on The Raptor was the last happy moment they had together before she dumped him and broke his heart. I do not wish to speculate but it is obvious the roller coaster was special to him.

The Raptor provided this man a way out from his troubled life. I feel as though the name should be temporarily changed to The Rapture, to mourn his loss.
Anyway, it sucks for the people who were on the ride who gave him a 50mph kick to the head. That must have been really traumatizing for them.

No matter the feels, genuine or meme, he shouldn't of killed himself or even get anywhere close to the Raptor in a way that could or would harm him. By him getting collided with the roller coaster through his selfish actions, he would traumatise the people that saw it happen, and would stop the Raptor from giving thrills for the guests at the park.

Besides, if it was a intentional suicide, why didn't he jump off a bridge or shoot himself at home? Minimise the 'show-offness' and limits the trama to his friends and family.

Don't waste a cent on RCT3D. I tried it when it came out. Graphics and control wise, it's not bad. However, in the sandbox mode, there are VERY strict limits on how much you can build, as in:

I don't like to play the scenarios that give you a limited time to complete cause I like to play at my own pace, and I can't remember there being many scenarios without such time limits.

What do you guys think of street fairs? My town has been holding one almost every year for about 800 years now. It's held every November in the town centre and it's pretty fun with a mixture of rides and stalls. Makes me want to trying making a street fair based RCT scenario with various scenery, ride type and space restrictions. It wouldn't exactly be a conventional game, so would anyone actually play such a scenario?.

Sounds interesting. I would imagine that a scenario based around street fairs would start the player off with a lump of money without any loans attached, and with everything unlocked, but has some harsh limitations like cramped spaces without the means to expand it, unable to edit the landscape, not able to have high roller coasters nor wooden ones, and having to reach a certain guest amount/park worth in just a SINGLE year. That what I would suggest, at the least.

Cooked up something a little different for the desert collab. There's a little more room per square, and barriers separating squares are narrower. I'll be building a railroad system to connect the squares in a way that makes sense so all you have to do is expand and build rides. There are a couple of themed areas. Feel free to delete, modify, or alter them however you want.

Does anyone that's interested in doing it want first pick of square? I'll go first but take the one people don't want. You can open the file and take a look inside for the ride list, everything's researched. If you want a specific ride, roller coaster type, or scenery item from the base game for me to add before we start (or some other change), let me know, I'll give you a couple of days. (This will be vanilla, with the expansions.)

I was actually thinking of filling in the left side of the lake, or splitting it into two. A castle in the middle sounds great, though. I'll work with it and see what I get.

And a very special thanks to everyone who contributed to the competition by uploading an entry but also to the 63 voters. Personally I thought Junk Mountain was the best but apparently I'm wrong.

The themes are Prehistoric, Mythological, Dark Age, Roaring Twenties, Rock 'n' Roll and the Future. As for scenarios, I say make your own in order to do so.

So when making a scenario, what's the appropriate number of rides, and designation of research unlocks? more specifically to rollercoasters. I'm thinking You'd have either the giga or Hyper for example, since they can be attributed as similar rides and so on.

>> No.2623352

ok /vr/ i want to enjoy the ride, where do i need to start to get into RCT? I don't have the game and idk what i need to download

>>2623352
Go download RCT2 from galax.moe/rct
It comes with the expansions with it.

Then you can either play the original, install the windowed hack (from the same place above) or try the slightly buggy OpenRCT2 which has a shitload of useful features added to the base game (openrct2.com)

So the perfect early coaster for a custom scenario!

Now, how many rides should be in "development"? I think I currently have 72 total rides/stalls

And then I get to the invention list setup and give up.I just can't bring myself to organize this. I wish there was a way I can sort by ride type, it would make my shit so much easier. maybe even have a feature that randomly sorts with those parameters

>>2623448
>>2623461
Make the only available ride at first be the TOGO standup coaster and no gentle rides to start, people will love you for it. Make sure the giga and wooden roller coaster are last in the research list :^)

>> No.2623492

>>2623486
Actually, I was thinking of making Giga a late level unlock, but the good Woodie the first or second coaster unlock. Might look at the rides again, because as it stands in my head, TOGO standup, Mini, and Side Friction were going to be the starters. Might actually do TOGO, Mini, Wooden, and Mine Coaster(the one that looks less rickety, or something along those lines. Might even make it that guests prefer more intense rides

I have initial guest thirst at the max, and less money, but cash machines are the first stall unlock and initial happiness is 65%
