Infinitely respawning enemies makes it frantic, you can't just clear levels like lots of top-down shooters, there's not a set order to get the neighbors so the levels are somewhat nonlinear

Herc's Adventures was pretty neat. Had a similar art/item system to ZaMN, and played like a co-op Zelda.
