For whatever reason, Crash Bandicoot's death animation in the first game scared the living shit out of me as a kid. Then it was Dino Crisis and all the brutal deaths in that (Being dropped into the fans especially), followed by Clock Tower for SNES when I found a translated ROM. All nightmare fuel for kid me.

Watched my dad play the first couple Tomb Raider games as a kid and there was lots of spooky shit but for some reason this stupid sprite in the first level of the first game was one of the creepiest to me.
