Sega Appreciation thread 2.
Favorite Sega game?
Favorite non-first party game on a sega console?
Favorite Sega Console?
Favorite Sega controller?
Are you playing on a sega system right now? If so what game? Are you having fun?

>Ecco
>Chakan
>Genesis
>Saturn
>Yes, DEcapattack

tell that guy who apparently has made 60% of the fucking threads to fuck off, this board is slow, we don't need useless threads clogging it up and pushing the good ones off the deep end.

At this moment no, I'm at work. But started a new playthrough of Legend of Oasis over the weekend and still absolutely in love with it.

Bangai-O is a weird combination of a shmup and regular action game with a great mechanic that encourages being risky. You switch between using missiles that will home in on enemies and lasers which will bounce off walls and the levels are designed so both are very useful in different situations. Also you have a burst attack where you shoot off up to 400 missiles or lasers at once which fill the screen with craziness. The hitch is that the number of shots you let off when you use it is determined by how much trouble you're in. That is, how many shots and enemies are coming at you, and getting the big burst means waiting till the last second. It's an absolute blast to play and is filled with typical Treasure zaniness as well.

Legend of Oasis is an action RPG somewhere in between Secret of Mana and Zelda, but with better combat and puzzles than either. It's gorgeous and a fantastic game. It's predecessor, Beyond Oasis is itself one of the best games on the Genesis. Both are highly recommended.

>Favourite Sega Game?
Phantasy Star IV

>Favourite non-first party game on a sega console?
A tie between Rocket Knight Adventures and Castlevania: Bloodlines.

>Favourite Sega Console?
Genesis

>Favourite Sega controller?
Genesis 6-button pad.

>What Sega game are you currently playing?
None. Thinking of playing Shinobi 3 though. Or maybe finally get around to the second part of Shining Force CD. I got sick of hearing the same song over and over for every battle. It'd good and all, but shit, there wasn't even a different song for the last battle on the first part, I was disappointed.

Not at ebay prices. But they're worth keeping your eyes open for, if you see one for a good price snap it up.

Will take that advice, my local shop doesn't take them because they typically have a broken reader, so i'm traveling into NYC in a few days to find one.

Yeah don't pay too much for one, but worth it for Popful Mail, Keio, Snatcher, Robo Aleste and Android Assault: Revenge of Bari-Arm. Avoid the FMV garbage titles.

Is Popful Mail fast becoming one of the most over-rated 16bit games, or what? Absolutely not worth the prices it is commanding.

>>2537157
Ecco: sure
NHL 94: lolno, do you want bad FMV of the '93 season in your Genesis port or something?
Nighttrap: not unless you love bad movies
Earthworm Jim: Maybe. It is a very good version, but super expensive.
Lunar: Lunar 2 is 10/10 good.

It's always been expensive, since it was one of the few Sega CD games worth having. Most early Working Designs games are very collectable.

Probably will burn the games to be honest, I would do the same for my Saturn but I don't want to install a mod chip

If by guy who made 60% of the threads you mean the guy that only made 1 dreamcast thread at a time after the previous got deleted for no reason, I think you may need to evaluate the reasons you're telling him to fuck off.

>> No.2537979

Modchip installs are dirt easy nowadays.

Get a Universal V3. You have to solder 1 wire, but if you manage to fuck that up, you really need to reevaluate your life.
