the fucking idle animations were great. the music was god-tier, and the art was gorgeous. the control was...less then ideal, and the game was released semi-broken. 7/10, and not a penny less.

First one controls a little better, but literally everything else in this game is god tier. Wish they ported it to something or got round to releasing the source code, it always starts acting up halfway through a game on my fairly modern PC.

I completed this as a kid without realising you could slide, sanic spin dash and run because I was using a 2 button joystick.

the game is zero challenge if you are over 12 years old and online multiplayer was the most spastic thing i've ever seen

the game is just being too generous with extra lives and carrots everywhere so there is zero reason to not just go fast forward all the time unless it's a boss stage

>through a series jumps and speeding up manage to get him up there to get all the bonuses

>we start using the accumulated tnt to blow shit up
>reach boss
>start using just tnt
>manage to blow up the boss off the level
>game is unwinnable
>no last save since we didn't bother to save at all

That isn't even getting into the game's tendency to get you stuck in walls/terrain when you play on the highest resolution. Epic have never been the best for QA, Jazz 3 was such a broken mess they couldn't even find a publisher.

The big problem with the game was that you either played it in low-resolution, where you could see the great animation but not see anything out of the level, or you played it in hi-res where you could see the rest of the level but none of the animation.
