Correct, I don't remember her anywhere in the game, not even in the introduction videos. For that matter, she barely appears in the first game either? Only at the beginning when they attack and steal the key, I think.

The third Keio game was a board game on the playstation by the way. I don't know who appeared in that because I can't make heads or tails on how to play that one. It was called Rami-chan no Oedo Sugoroku - Keio Yuugekitai Gaiden.

A few of the pages in the Namco anthology are damaged, and would have to be redrawn. I bought it for scanning a while ago, but then forgot about it. I was either very inexperienced with debinding books, or the glue was a pain in the ass. Probably both. I'm embarrassed about this one, so I wouldn't mind buying another copy to scan properly. I don't have the money to do so right now, though. It'd cost about $8 and the shipping would take a month.

As for scanning, has anyone tried using a heat-gun to disassemble a doujin before, then successfully re-glued it? I've tried using a camera, but holding the pages open and getting a good, consistent picture is a bitch.

Oh sweet another Popful Mail thread. I've always loved colorful animu sidescrollers like this and Rapid Angel.

It's kinda funny how the "oldschool" 2D sprites and art have held up far better than the clunky 3D polygons that almost everyone was shooting their loads over in the mid to late 90s, which have long since been swept into the dustbin while gorgeous 2D sprites have been making a glorious comeback thanks to indie games (well, the good ones anyway, which are unfortunately the minority of indie games).

in the original japanese it is obvious from their way of speaking since Tatt uses very formal Japanese while Ojisan there uses much less formal

also (not on this page) Mail uses very girly Japanese with "Atashi" for a pronoun and "...wayo" endings (almost exactly the same speech pattern as Lina Inverse!)

If you want to just translate the 17-page chapter that follows the current scanlations for now, that also works. Not enough people have read this. Doesn't help that the existing scanlations are of mediocre quality, and the girl who scanlated them is a drama queen who won't allow it to be posted on Batoto (though it's already on Kissmanga, etc).

The person who did Excel Saga reportedly also did porn.
There's also Yui Haga, and the artists in the group Digital Accel Works, who did tons of porn and then one of their non-porn manga ended up popular and turned into anime.
