Anyone else played this and its sequel(?)/second version?

I had both games and loved them but since I only had one game boy I got stuck on the part where it's required to trade characters between game versions(a la pokemon) to progress.

I'd love to 100% both games so I came to you to ask what's the best good emulator that can simulate the link cable capabilities in order to trade between roms.

There are a few branches of Visual Boy Advance that handle linking pretty well. I believe VBA-M does.

The fuck are you talking about? That's a really strange thing to say out of the blue.

That is strange. /vr/ is full of retrocarch fanbois. finding someone who doesn't love the constant jabber about this steaming turn is indeed strange.

Are you new here? We get Retron and RetroArch spam all the time. I think some of the Retron posters are just trolling at this point.

TGB Dual can do link play, I know the RA core currently won't let you link between two different games but you may want to check the standalone version

Also, as the others said, VBA-M and TGB Dual both work.

I've never seen a thread about RetroArch here, that's more of an /vg/emugen/ thing.

TGB Dual would be way fuckin easier than VBA-M. It was built with multiplayer in mind. Only use VBA-M for GBA games.
