Summer is here, time for flea markets.

>> No.2501568

I went to one yesterday, it's 4am Monday morning right now.

It was horrible.

$200 for a 2600 with 3 games
Loose 2600 games $10 each
$85 for boxed SMB
$85 for FF7
$15 PS2 games
$600 boxed Vectrex
$40 boxed genesis games

Last weekend I found a Sega Saturn which 1 controller no games for $130. They were normal sellers and NOT resellers, I have no idea where they got the prices from.

I'm Australian, hence why it's 4am, but do you know I have never ever seen a Sega Saturn in real life? I've seen games for it and I've seen a couple on controllers for it but never the actual console.

>> No.2501637

All of my peddler's malls/flea markets in the area, literally all of them, have absolutely no games.

man and i thought living in germany would be horrible ... recently i got
- an N64 with memory expansion, two controllers (not that bad..), wave race and 1080 for 25 €. The seller wanted 45 for it, it told her i'm just picking up for spare if cheap, so she sold für 25 and was happy that it's gone. Sometimes you just have to bargain.
- a master system 2 and mega drive 2, both in rather horrible condition .. also 25 € altogether. The MS2 has a huge sonic-sticker on it, i don't care lt's retro. The MD2 missed some screws but both consoles work.
- a PS2 fat, black with 10 games (max payne 2, ratchet and clank, ...) and three controllers for ..you guessed it 25 €. Works fine.
- conker live & reloaded + deus ex pc for 5 € altogether.
- c64 emulator controller with build in games for 7 € .. this one is kinda broken, works 30 % of the time. Should have passed on that
- gameboy bag 1€

>>2501684
They did actually have a MS2 and a N64 for sale...

Both $120.

I've gotten one of those keyboard famiclones for less than 1$.
No cartridges, pads or anything really, but i have those.

Probably gonna upgrade it with parallel port so I can connect a printer.

Nope. They were bare bones too. Controllers and cables and that's it.

>> No.2501807

I remember a while back buying a gamecube for about £40, with a controller and all the wires.. i got it home and it didnt work. Opened it up and it looks like tried to install a modchip and fucked everything up. I get pretty bummed, go to work the next day and when i get home my dad comes up and says that he got me something for £2 .. hands it to me and its a gamecube in rough shape and no wires, but works perfectly. so i swapped the cases and used the wires of the non working system.

Oh, and to keep it retro, always look in boxes full of vhs tapes. Ive found many megadrive games in there.. usually for 25 to 50p each..

I got Batman for NES for $10 today. There were some good deals there too, but it was either not retro or stuff I already had.

A guy was selling a lot of Atari stuff, he must of had 6 Atari 2600 including Jr versions

I already have a 7800 so I cleared him out of games\controllers
35 Atari 2600 games with some repeats
A few coleco/magnavox games
2 quickshot genesis controllers, an Atari 7800 controller, and a bunch of driving pads and paddles.

All for 40 bucks, it was great

$10 really isn't too good of a price.

It's about what it's worth. The era of getting good deals on NES games is over, at least where I live. You can still get good deals on newer stuff though.

A big flea market in my city has no retro-related stuff at all. Barely even any modern games. Or anything else of interest. It's actually depressing to go there.

>> No.2506336

Went to this market down the road from where I live, held once a year, big deal for everyone in the area. Only found one dude selling retro stuff, mostly shitty old pc games, his most prestigious item being a Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt cart, by itself in a ziplock bag stapled near the top for a hundred bucks.

>> No.2506712

My local area seems to be a pain for carboots/markets at the moment, it's either people overpricing stuff (One woman wanted £20 for Beyblade on Ps1. Offered her £1 as i didn't have it) or resellers getting there at 6am to grab the best deals

That or scum like Playnation who seem to think £40 for unboxed suikoden 1 is a good price, told them i had it on digital and walked off

>> No.2506724

God I miss the flea markets from when I was a teenager and first had some spending money. Got a wood panneled Atari with a few games and 4 controllers for $10, an N64 with Dk64 and three controllers for $10, and one of those big Gameboy cases with 6 games, a fucking camera and printer, tons of paper, chords, manuals, and a purple see through GBC for 5 damn dollars.

Now all of that would easily run me 300

My town has a swap meet at the old speedway like 3 times a week. During the week its pretty small, like, just half the size of the parking lot but on Sunday they open up and have people set up all over the track.
It has resellers up the ass with a bunch of people selling just game related stuff. Most of the people have decent prices and haggle but there are some people who think they are the big dick bosses who overprice and dont budge on price.
I went today and picked up these two controllers for $10 each and a memory card for $5. I probably coulda got the memory card for less if it was Sunday
