Has anyone even been able to successfully emulate this game? Is there any way to play it other than buying it? I know its supposed to be a great game but it is so goddamn expensive

a simple check on google says it works in ssf and is fully playable.
i haven't tried it myself, however.

i've only ever gotten it to play the intro of the game. You can even type in your name. But once it gets to actual gameplay it just freezes.

I've played it up to disc 3 before getting bored and dropping it. So yeah.

Many people. I played it using Satourne (I think?) maybe four years ago, but SSF is better. Yabause is much more robust and accurate, but not as compatible.

SSF is enough, though some version can have nasty glitches that prevent you in progressing. Just switch to one version to another when that happens, importing the Saturn savefiles.

>> No.2472690

I beat it using SSF 012 beta R3. Worked just fine.

>> No.2473290

I've never been able to emulate ANY Saturn game very well. It either runs poorly, the graphics are fucked, or the emulator just refuses to work.

I've tried it with both ISOs and actual Saturn discs.

>> No.2473447

you may have to repair the iso for corruption if you download it and depending on which SSF version you use you may not be able to finish, forcing you to restart, and I can't get anyone to tell me which one is the right one

otherwise it's good

>> No.2474779

Some newer versions of SSF are actually worse. IIRC last time I used version 11 R5 or something like that.

There's a back with every beta and alpha since version 8. I just try a different version if something doesn't work. Still, there's some work that just aren't compatible with my system for whatever reason, but Yabause will run them. It sacrifices speed for accuracy and compatibility.
