I need help remembering a PS1 game. It was something akin to a shooter like s&p, but not so out there. The characters, I think you could choose from a boy or girl, had this big heavy side canon/Gatling-gun thing, carried two handed, they would run around shooting with. There was a stage early on where you played on moving trains, that I think went into an underground subway. I don't remember if it was localized or not. It was completely 3D. I think it had a sorta awkward control scheme. It looked nice, iirc.

Twisted Metal 2?

No. Definitely not. Japanese game. Players were on foot. Had a third person camera orientation (behind the back). Held weapon with 2 hands, think heavy from tf2, but with subdued 90s anime style typical of PS1.. more towards, say, MGS than lunar. Not too scifi but some futuristic flourishes. Like I said, there was one level where your running around on top a moving train shooting stuff in something like an underground subway. Thanks for the effort though.

Could it be Gungage by Konami?

No, that's was my first thought too, when I thought of it. It's not gale gunner either.

I do think, very vaguely, it might have a similar kind of name, i.e. 2 English words. I feel more confident saying it didn't have a really Japanese name, like say Soukyuugurentai.

Thanks.

A pretty obscure game you played anon, it kinda ok. I think the N64 was a bit better but I'm not sure.

I'm sorry vr kun, but that's not it either.

I also remember, years back a console war thread on /v/ where someone brought up that PS1 never had anything like sin and punishment, to which another anon countered with the game I'm thinking of. They argued a bit, saying that s&p had better gameplay, but the game I'm thinking of looked better. I also vaguely recall a 30 vs 60 fps argument point in favor of s&p, but I'm not sure.

That's all I can think of

OK, I just finished going through every single ps1 jpn action game listed on gamefaqs and still can't find it. Either the game isn't listed there or I'm possibly insane. Either way, I'm tired now. Thanks for the help.

I'm going to hope I can get some help here.
I'm thinking of a SNES/Arcade game.
It's a sidescroller. You have to climb a big tower, and you can rescue people from cages and I think they became your companions. I always thought it was gloden axe but It's not that, and I can't find it now.
Thanks for any help.

Can a netbook processor (Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz) handle Mednafen PSX emulation? I want to make an emulation box and I'm wondering if my old netbook is up for this task.

>> No.2456486

>>2456469
no, your cpu should be at least dual-core and 64-bit

it will run epsxe 1.9 but I don't know if it will support pete's opengl2 plugin, you might have to stick with dx 6
