I want to get Rondo of Blood I guess, so that's my excuse for owning this console but there are so many variations of it, and the PC Engine seems cooler than the tgfx16. Any idea which variation is the best to get to accommodate all cd and card games?

Also, aside from Rondo of Blood what else would y'all niggas suggest?

But the PC Engine Duo and the Turbografx Duo were made with bad batches of capacitors, same with the Game Gear.

He's not shilling. The Duo's have been suffering from leaking capacitors for at least 10 years now, if not longer.

Capacitors don't last forever. But we can expect them to not explode and leak in the system and eat traces.

Don't call someone else retarded or a shill for pointing out something that's very much so based in fact, you fucking retard.

Besides, there's no reason to talk like that. If you disagree with him show us evidence that the Duo-Rs have the same issue and failure rate. There's plenty of evidence showing the Duos failing. I work in a game store that specializes in refurbishing systems.
Under normal circumstances I have yet to see an NES that is anything beyond a dirty pin connector, save for physically cracked boards. We refurbish quite a few of these.

I have yet to run into a Genesis 1 or 2 that isn't just dirty.

I have not seen a single leaking cap in at least 4 years on these systems. Yes the caps will die, but they aren't going to leak and fuck up traces on the board.

That's the important part. If the caps die it's pretty trivial to remove the old cap and replace it.

If you've got electrolytic fluid on the board and traces are eaten, that procedure becomes much more complicated. Duo's caps are pretty notorious for leaking. this alone makes purchasing a Duo-R a much more attractive option for me.

Also, American Duo's are pretty damn expensive. Japanese Duo's aren't that much cheaper in tested, working order than Duo-R's anymore (RX are definitely more expensive).

Another big issue you run into buying PCE stuff is a lot are sold as non-working/non-tested because the solder job on the DIN-8 video connector is shoddy and you need to re-touch it up when you get it, but you can take a gamble on a $50 system and hope it's the only issue if you want...
