It's interesting how recently so many more people have actually come to the "conclusion" that FFVII is somehow a bad game. No doubt this is only due to the fact that the game is extremely popular. Looked at from an objective standpoint, FFVII is in fact a good game. Regardless of the nitpicks you may have of the game, you can't say it isn't fun.

FF7 is a gateway JRPG of the worst kind. It's a bad game, has a clusterfuck of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive shipping faggotry and DARKNESS. The normal anon can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the game itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad.

However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of its core make it a breeding ground for aspie, unsociable underageb& faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The superpowered characters all trying their hardest to look cool, the powers, peculiar, colorful clothes, the whole emo faggotry and everything about the FF7 world fuels their escapist fantasies, while the pity-party character backgrounds, emphasis on revenge, and overall preachiness of the game make it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average preteen and his sense of unwarranted self-importance towards the world. Exactly the kind of shit that makes little kiddies and underageb& retards eat this shit right the fuck up.

FF7 is basically THE game to attract the most hated video game fanbase known to /vr/, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every anon to troll the fuck out of this show and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no FF7 posts ever encourage the newfriends to show their faces here.

it's funny when people have stupid fucking arguments about whether a game is "good" or "bad" like it's some objective thing.
It's not. Games are an art form and beauty is in the eye of the beholder
No matter how much you want it to be, your opinion will never be fact.
Everything always ends up either boiling down to either "Because I like this" or "because I don't like this."
Stop fucking parading around like what you think is the objective truth because it's literally impossible.

SotN is by far the weakest in the entire series.

Every other metroidvania has the exact same monsters as symphony of the night but with new one added and about 30 times more weapons/spells.

Symphonoy of the night also stops being a metroidvania half way through the game. Eventually you get to a point where you have to replay the entire game but all the backgrounds are upside down (if that sounds like it looks stupid, it does) and you never get any new power ups.

Circle of the Moon has the best level design
Aria games have the highest number of abilities to play with
Portrait of Ruin has the most mechanics to play with
Order has linear levels if you are into that
Harmony has the most classic castlevania feel
SoTN's only real strength is the high resolution. It's outclasses in virtually every other category

Only take other anon's advice of Fire Emblem if you *loved* FFT, cuz Tactics is better

CT is pretty goat, so there's not much of the same quality imo. You can play Chrono Cross, which is still good, but it really loses steam after a certain story event you play a different main character for a while and becomes a cluster fuck of ridiculous info dump after that.

I personally love Illusion of Gaia, and I like it slightly more than CT, but it's an action RPG which imo is the better genre. Other than that, I can't recommend RPGs of the same quality.

You can give Earthbound, Super Mario RPG, or one of the FF(4,6,7,9) a shot. They're still good, but Chrono Trigger is about as good as it gets, especially if you don't like RPGs

My favorite games of all time, in no particular order, are Final Fantasy Tactics, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, and Super Metroid. I am also a big fan of the Legend of Zelda series, Pokemon, Monster World series, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, just about any platformer, Chrono Trigger, SAGA games, and beat em ups to name a few.

It's definitely less collectathony than others, but my main gripe with these games is having to replay stages multiple times, and having progress being barred by needing to have an arbitrary amount of something.

Well everyone is lying to you then.

It is a really great... well, good at least... game until you get to the dungeon at Shell 1. Then the dungeons just become unbearably long and frustrating.

The first half of the game is actually a really good and original adventure. Maya is probably the best never appreciated by anyone female protagonist in all of vidya (since feminazis only care about mainstream popular stuff). The combat system is pretty fun with it's weak / medium / strong attacks depending on how long you wait, the way the magic works (combining cards) is really cool, and there's lots of cool, varied, even non-cliché companions.

My only gripe with it, other than the unbearably retarded dungeon design, is the fact that it has element based weaknesses for all enemy types even the not so obvious ones (in example, Robots are for some reason Water based enemies, so Air attacks do extra damage to them, if I understand correctly). I mean, the general elemental weaknesses are easy to understand, you can read about them in the library (Water beats Fire, Fire beats Earth, Earth beats Air, Air beats Water) but finding out that Robots are Water based and stuff like that is just some serious out of box thinking.

What do you mean by "half the units"?

Half the Commanders, or half the Unit Types?

I mean you're wrong either way, but two of the Unit Types (Cannoneer and Archers other than one particular Archer Commander) were less useful than the rest of them.

>> No.2433529

>>2433516
I meant half the types, like healers or monks, though they are a lot of useless commanders.

>> No.2433649

>>2433529
Well then you are very wrong.

Healers are extremely useful in defensive battles just for the heal, once they get Miko Dance Wind - a skill that heals just as much as other heals (although only single target) but has an extremely fast reload, so you can use up the enemy's battle time while healing your units even with shitty commanders (Akihime, Yukihime). The better Miko commanders - Mouri Chinu and especially Natori - have extremely strong skills that can single-handedly change the course of a seemingly unwinnable battle in your favor (Poison and Miko Storm 2 respectively).

Monks are a bit underwhelming because you only get to recruit generic Monks for the most part, or Asakura Yohshikage. Yoshikage's value lies in clearing him, since that gives you a massive increase in National Power. The obvious good monk - Seigan - is very hard to recruit at a time where he would be useful. He has a similarly game changing skill like Natori, if a bit weaker. The real good monk is Himiko, whom you need to capture from the Miko Institute - she has great stats and lots of action points. She is self healing pseudo-warrior / meat shield. If I remember correctly, she has Guard Cancel, which is a potentially strong ability at the right time. Then there's also Nobuhiko, a 2nd game bonus Monk, who is basically just like Himiko, except stronger (fucking 9 ATK unit you can have from the start) and he has Convert Action 2 (which is much better) at the cost of having only 3 AP himself. Probably the 2nd best Monk in the game overall. The best best monk is the Oil-Girl from Oilfields. You have to spend 4 Action Fans to get her (and recruit her shitty subordinates) but god-damn is she worth it. She has like 4 AP and Convert Action 1. On her own, she's not amazing, but she can use that Convert Action 1 to give you multiple Miko Storm 2's, multiple Accurate Shots, multiple Assassination+ uses... etc. She enables God-tier / free-win strategies for seemingly "unwinnable" battles.

I kinda like FF1 but it has too many battles - fucking tedious, and too little options and you can't use any of your abilities outside of battles, which FUCKING SUCKS.
I finished all megaman CS games, but they are easy as fuck, the only megaman game that I really like is MI.

Daggerfall is a game with practically just exploration.
Also you're looking for the Might & Magic series, especially 6 and 7

Don't remember the name, but there's a strategy game where you run your own Pizza chain.

You create your own Pizzas (weird ingredients included) as kind of a minigame, you can create your Pizza shops (furniture, etc.) and you deal with the mafia / criminal underworld.

The usual Pizza selling stuff.

More like being a number one supplier of libyan made "chocolate ice cream", and nuking the pizza parlor next door with the aforementioned ice cream. Oh and that warehouse for all the groceries? How about we include some of those ice cream too. Btw, the game is called pizza tycoon

If you're into shota x loli, I would highly recommend Rinkan Gasshuku by the god of shota x loli, Abubu aka Nounaka.

It's only a beta but god damn I nutted to this so many fucking times.

If you are an oppai loving pig instead then you too will surely nut for days to the Yutaka-chan RPG.

They're drawings you mongol. Only Marxist shitholes like the UK treat loli as if it's real CP.

I'm certainly not a mongol, as these guys wouldn't care about drawings, but MY country does. There have been people condamned in France for simply possessing hentai material, not even checked if it was loli.

Well I guess that's a simple case of French and British rivalry.

The French were like "oh my god, ze Brits are treating loli as CP? that is really degenerate! how do wee up the ante? - I know! we shall treat all ze hentai as CP! je suis un grande willy! fou fou fou*!"

(*TL note: 'fou' is french for fu)
