I...I finally did it Anons. I finally found Mega Man I on the gameboy. My collection is complete.

[now to get them with the boxes]

I was the hardest one to find. I didn't realise IV and V were worth so much money, jesus christ, I paid the same for I as I did for IV and V.

Really nice condition too. I've been getting really into the gameboy lately. Just got a cobalt sp in good condition for really cheap and bought like 20 dollars worth of old GBC and GBA games.

Picked up IV and V from a store for $20 a piece. Fantastic condition as well. They look barely touched. I've seen I/II's with the stickers almost worn going for that price. I just lucked out anon, nothing to do with being loaded. I hit a store by my work each day saw IV and V sitting there and didn't even question it, then I saw the price and basically threw my wallet at the guy.

Earlier in the week I saw a copy of X8 at an EB for $5 when they were phasing out their PS2 stuff, I was gone for literally 5 minutes (had to step outside) and it was gone, I really have no excuse for not buying it instantly except I didn't think it would vanish. I'm 90% sure it was staff who yanked it

Considering I found IV and V in a store, II was easy, and even III was eventually tracked down it's taken me months to find I. I had about 5 stores keeping an eye out for me. I refuse to buy online so that's probably why I've had such a time of it.

Now all I need is Xtreme I and I'll have the entire nintendo portable collection I think. Then if I'm feeling ballsy I'll go after The Neo Geo Pocket color version of fighters and the wonder swan one and the game gear game. But I'm happy at this point, I've all the Battle Networks and MM&B. I kinda wish they did an advance port of Soccer though, with a speed up function of course.

I found an X8 recently for $50 no manual, needless to say I turned it down. I did grab a copy of Command Mission though, which I didn't have. It's been a good week for me mega man hunting found a cool star force figure last month too. Still considering buying a boxed copy of Mega Man and Bass on the GBA which this place also had.

I might settle for Japanese imports, they always seem to be so much cheaper. You don't really need English for something as simple as Mega Man, surely.

I wish it was feasible to re-release both consoles and the games they came on. I'd even be okay with grey market DIY re-releases, where you have a blank cartridge, a label and instructions to get a ROM on it.
