And that's when localization comes in because of cultural or certain language barriers. However to immediately use the word 'trolling' is some shit tier fansubbing.

But I believe Kan said 「もはや、嫌がらせの意気」. Something like "[The game's] already in the mood/disposition for harassment".

Personally, I'm okay with them using "trolling". Of course, there are other options, but to each his own

>> No.2397387

>>2397373
I'm guessing that's a different いき, since 嫌がらせの域 seems to be a pretty common phrase on the internet, googling it brings up a bunch of tags on pixiv and niconico.

もはや嫌がらせの域
mohaya, iyagarase no iki

mohaya: adverb, "already, now"
iyagarase: noun, "harassment, pestering"
no: possessive particle
iki: noun, "region; limits; stage; level"

A more dictionary-literal translation might have been "Now, [this is on the] level of harassment" which is a perfect demonstration of why you don't always go for the 1:1 dictionary translation.

Anyway I guess the real contention here is the word "trolling." On the one hand it fits the context and meaning perfectly, but on the other hand it might be considered obscure internet jargon.

Oh, I completely forgot about this いき. Thanks for pointing it out!

And I agree with you. Sometimes the literal translation might not be the best option, especially if the situation requires some context. As you said, "trolling" fits because you could condense the meaning with a single word, but it may not reach people unfamiliar with internet jargon.

You're probably 'merely pretending' but just in case you're not, there's a huge difference in assumed technical knowledge between even something relatively simple like how to apply a sub file to a video, and knowing what the word "trolling" means.

I wonder if spending too much time on 4chan has made us forget how much normies use the internet nowadays. Like, skim facebook for 5 minutes, you'll see trolling has entered fairly common use. I usually use my brother as a proxy as someone who sure wouldn't know "idols" in that sense (he would probably think that they mean rock stars or something).

I'd still say a translation has to convey the meaning/idea and not be 100% literal or expect the audience to "know" things like idol culture or what "tsundere" means.

Living in California, I can say it's pretty much your best option of fast food here. The person talking about the buns being greasy is reffering to the method they toast them, which is on the same surface they cook the burger, so it absoarbs some of the fats the come out during cooking. Also as a cook, these fats =! bad for you unless over consumed as with anything.

The fries are the best part though, you get to watch them slice fresh potatos in front of you while ordering (the drive through is a giant windowed area at most locations) and they don't even salt them for you, which is a great step for fastfood in the direction of lowering the already absurd amount of sodium in any given meal.

Also, aside from that tl;dr, I just finished the episode on Takeshis Castle. I was dissapointed not to see his standard headband thing even though he was sweating. He did use a towel as a substitute though.

You shouldn't put too much weight into the hateposts since it's just a very small vocal minority that has been going on about the same crap for like 2 years now (i actually feel a bit sad for them because of that) and their posts usually get deleted because they're totally offtopic.

You know it's not all the same few people, right? I've been watching GCCX for years but never came to the /vr/ thread. So if I complain about some of SA's decisions I guess I'm suddenly part of "the group" that's been around for years? Just because the issues have been brought up for an extended period of time it doesn't mean it's the same people bringing them up. That's not exactly hard to understand. He does tend to come down harder on the female staff than the males. I remember the one time Ito was assertive in trying to help Arino he just mocks it and moves on.

Do you think Takahashi quit as AD and that's why you had various staff help him in the second half of season 7? They had Kibe, Tojima, even Toni help him. It might explain why she never returned to do anything outside of the video for the Lemmings 24 hour show.

Which sucks, I'd like to see another female AD promoted to be a helper. Since it seems like they're usually just in charge of food.

Arino's hands started to hurt due to the harsh difficulty, so he jumped in.
As usual, the Kacho went "Huh? Who?", but suddenly continued with "Who the hell are you? Somebody please call Yanai back! This backstage thief! Let him leave!".
Oosuka then introducted himself and explained Yanai went to work on another show for a while, so he's sort of replacing him.
He offered Arino a Joycard, only to have the Kacho question him once more "Where did you steal this from?". The thief gag returned some times, including on TamaGe segments.

Alex Kidd was a good ep and yet another game I'm surprised he was decent at. Really nice looking encode, too.

It's cute when they ADs come up with a bit and it actually get camera time; makes me sad when they make something like an elaborate map and it doesn't get used on screen. I guess Arino doesn't really turn down food.

Thats great! These are good times for Downtown, they get better with age, and the rumors that they would break up is preposterous. Matsumoto legit loves Hamada and cares about him a lot from what ive heard, they'll probably stick together until death.

(at least not when they were aired) theyre never new tamage segments, just ones from other episodes i guess they hand picked and stuck on each dvd. my question is, are these exactly the same as when they were aired or are they extended versions of these tamage segments? dunno if any of you guys own any of the dvds but if you do youll know what im talking about. thanks!

The yaki ramen might be hard to make if you don't have an Asian supermarket or can't find some of the stuff online.
