Actually professional and paid translations usually take far more liberties with their translations than this show, how do people not suffer constant aneurysms when playing video games or watching anime if a few individual word choices like "trolling" or "Mega Man" are enough to trigger them like this?

iyagarase: noun, "harassment, pestering"
no: possessive particle
iki: noun, "region; limits; stage; level"

A more dictionary-literal translation might have been "Now, [this is on the] level of harassment" which is a perfect demonstration of why you don't always go for the 1:1 dictionary translation.

Anyway I guess the real contention here is the word "trolling." On the one hand it fits the context and meaning perfectly, but on the other hand it might be considered obscure internet jargon.

And I agree with you. Sometimes the literal translation might not be the best option, especially if the situation requires some context. As you said, "trolling" fits because you could condense the meaning with a single word, but it may not reach people unfamiliar with internet jargon.

I have a question. When did the show start filming in HD? Because there was an HD episode (forget which one) I saw that showed part of the segment from the USA episode with Arino at the San Francisco arcade and it was in 1280x720. The actual USA episode I have is in 704x396.

Living in California, I can say it's pretty much your best option of fast food here. The person talking about the buns being greasy is reffering to the method they toast them, which is on the same surface they cook the burger, so it absoarbs some of the fats the come out during cooking. Also as a cook, these fats =! bad for you unless over consumed as with anything.

The fries are the best part though, you get to watch them slice fresh potatos in front of you while ordering (the drive through is a giant windowed area at most locations) and they don't even salt them for you, which is a great step for fastfood in the direction of lowering the already absurd amount of sodium in any given meal.

Also, aside from that tl;dr, I just finished the episode on Takeshis Castle. I was dissapointed not to see his standard headband thing even though he was sweating. He did use a towel as a substitute though.

Alex Kidd was a good ep and yet another game I'm surprised he was decent at. Really nice looking encode, too.

It's cute when they ADs come up with a bit and it actually get camera time; makes me sad when they make something like an elaborate map and it doesn't get used on screen. I guess Arino doesn't really turn down food.

There are like 3 subbing groups for GnT right now that have popped out of nowhere.
We have the guys that have subbed the new year's batsu game. Instead of doing nothing like with the last one these guys are actually in overdrive right now.
At the same time we have two completely new groups that are subbing aswell.
Also there is ANOTHER guy in the GnT forum chat that has just announced that he and his friend who can translate japanese will join an existing subbing team.
Gnt subbing is amazing right now.

Haven't watched this stuff in a year or more, I should catch back up. I remember that the worst in-between segment was when they would go to a temple and read a strategy guide and try to get wisdom from it. It was so stupid.

oh and i had a question for you guys. I have some of the dvds, and they always tend to have a few tamage segments at the end of the dvd that dont belong to the episodes on the dvd. (at least not when they were aired) theyre never new tamage segments, just ones from other episodes i guess they hand picked and stuck on each dvd. my question is, are these exactly the same as when they were aired or are they extended versions of these tamage segments? dunno if any of you guys own any of the dvds but if you do youll know what im talking about. thanks!
