Any bros remember how fucking godly rebellion was? Thinking of breaking my copy out for a few games. Probably a better game than masters of orion ii tbh.

can you remind me a bit what this game was about, I played it a couple of times in the 90s but never spent too much time on it... I just remember it was stratey oriented, that you had to travel through different systems and that it was pretty hard if you didn't know what you were doing...

Man, it was a Star Wars strategy game, a good one, with lots of things to do. Once you now how to beat the computer it's easy but still...I wish they would make 2nd.

By the end of the last time I played on LAN, Star Wars had been thoroughly re-written. The Empire fled Coruscant after the battle of Yavin, the Rebels took over and started dominating the inner core. Meanwhile the Empire spread out across the unknown outer systems, and came a-rollin' in with Death Stars 2 &3, ruining the core systems as they went. They didn't even bother to retake Coruscant, they just obliterated it.

Han Solo and Mon Mothma had been assassinated by Vader's Noghri commandos, and on a last-ditch effort before the Empire reached the Rebel HQ, Jedi Trainee Luke Skywalker managed, through the force (i.e. absolute fluke), to capture both Darth Vader and the Emperor in one fell swoop, bringing the war to an end.

That time when you enter a space battle for the first time...and that time when you win it.

When I'd play as the rebels in this game all I would do is just mass medium transports. Vast, vast numbers of them. And I would autoresolve, and get some pretty hilariously positive results out of it.

I literally never found out how to properly send my people on missions though. I would say the biggest issue this game had was its interface; 3D space fights were fun, but also very time consuming because the genius methods created in Homeworld didn't exist yet.
