I'm still flabbergasted that from all the systems Snatcher could've gotten a port to... it has to be the Virtual Boy.

Impressive for sure, though.

It's been officially ported to pretty much everything. And with emulation you can play it on a bunch more devices. This just sounds like a novelty port.

It also shows that the Virtual Boy is probably a better console than people give it credit for.

Most official ports were butchered one way or the other, man.

Thanks for posting the worst game of all time in aggravating virtua red. If I wanted to read a comic I would read a comic and it would have better drawings that were in color.

Why not for the SNES with MSU-1 support. That would be it.

Why is the music running at PAL speed? This must be bait, it just can't be real.

The only shitty ports are the PlayStation and Saturn versions that replaced most of the artwork.

Why not make an open source engine that allows to switch between artwork, sound, languages and so on?

how would that work

Is it the entire game? I could always use one more reason to finally fix my VB and buy a Flash Boy.

You're better off buying a Megadrive/Genesis and a Mega/Sega CD. You'll need to download and burn the game though, since real copies are expensive.

Interesting but pointless.

This is doubly pointless, but it's more interesting to see that the Virtual Boy is actually a pretty solid system.

VB fans like myself would say that it was always a solid system, just flimsy as hell and an ergonomic nightmare to use. Good games, good controller, cool 3D. Just sort of rushed out the door and not given 100% of what it needed to be really good.

Or to be functional after 15 years.

I haven't seen a fully working Virtual Boy in ages. Even the one that showed up on Pawn Stars had the jail bars problem.

Not him, but I can sorta see where he's coming from. An universal interpreter that can let you use the graphics from one of all ports, japanese or english audio, and even allow translations to different languages.

Pretty good idea, man.

>> No.2357307

I'm still waiting for someone to combine the Power Glove and the Virtual Boy into some sort of retro Ur-Oculus. Maybe get a U-Force involved. Shit, I don't know. Still, that's amazing work on Snatcher, major props to whoever was responsible for that.
