This is my favorite retro sports game (Baseball Stars). Also, American Dreams are almost impossible to beat with any other team. Either that or Waverace. The fat guy is the best racer once you've mastered the game because his top speed is crazy.

Wasn't Blades of Steel one of those NES games like Double Dribble where they tried to put voice in the intro announcing the title of the game: Dhuffa Drhibba! Putting voice on an NES game... One of those things that was amusing at the time, but has aged horribly.

My best friend and I were trying out a bunch of different NES games and he recalled often beasting the fuck out of Base Wars as a kid and renting it multiple times from the video store. So he started playing and was non-stop stabbed in the face by robot infielders for about fifteen minutes before he remembered he only used edit teams so he'd be overpowered.
