Baldur's Gate /Bg2

Whacky wheels is pretty cool.

Metal Slug series comes to mind.

2 player coop in doom/doom2 on nightmare is fantastic.

I also really love playing point and click adventures with other people. I know it's not coop in the literal sense but I always found brainstorming with another person to get through a puzzle really cool.

Sorry for the lack of consoles, but my knowledge is really limited.

Kirby is the perfect co-op game if one of the players is not very good. Good player takes kirby and then you can just keep resurrecting player 2 as whatever enemy you come across, or even turn player 2 into an item and then remake them at full health.

Goof Troop is cool if you like some puzzles in your top down co-op games.

Thread is called "what are your favorite etc." ergo, if the posters keep to what's asked, all the thread is is opinions.

And opinions don't ruin shit. Whats does is people who can't deal with different ones.

I came here to post Ganbare Goemon (Legend of the Mystical Ninja), which is the first of the SNES games. My friend and I play a lot of co-op games and we LOVED it, although it's pretty difficult, especially towards the end. Play it if you're good with a challenge and if you're decent at platformers it'll probably take you around 8 hours.

We're going through the sequels now. The second game is also quite good, although it's not nearly as interesting as the first one because there aren't any town segments and there's no grinding so the game is much shorter. Also, the added first-person boss segments are garbage.

>>2305153
As far as I'm concerned, the original Streets of Rage is the best one. It's also fairly exploitable (there's a punch infinite, a grab infinite, a throw release infinite, and at least one infinite for every boss). but that's part of the entertainment value.

That's true for Kirby Super Star. Dream Land 3 actually takes a small bit of life from Kirby to send Gooey (Player 2) in. I like that Gooey can use powers like Kirby instead of being locked into whichever helper Kirby craps out. It makes for a more rewarding co-op experience knowing that Player 2 isn't expendable.

Both are fun as hell in co-op, though. I just think KDL3 is massively underrated.
