As far as I know these are the only wireless SNES controllers on the market. Does anybody have any experience with these?

From what I hear, retro-bit products are poor quality.

The Generation NEX people make some but they're pricey.

And of course Acclaim made tons of IR ones back in the day.

Yeah, and according to CGR, they're surprisingly not crap.

I've never really gotten the point of wireless controllers, but Retrobit has a pretty poor reputation and that controller looks pretty cheap from the pic.

>third party controllers

I'll pass. They never feel right to me

I've used them. They're meh but if you're stuck buying a modern controller it's probably your best bet. Personally I use old IR controllers

I agree but apparently there are some snes and genesis controllers made now that are pretty decent. I may try the cirka brand one for a snes. Has good reviews. Though all the wireless ones are bad.

how are they SNES controllers when that plug is not for SNES?

It's just shown from the side. In this picture you can see that it's actually wider than it looks in OP's picture.

Okay, thanks, I'll go see an eye doctor now, everything looks like a USB.

Not great.
If you want to play platformers or action games you'd be fucked, but RPGs should work fine. They are passable in terms of control and quality, but responsiveness is not its strong suit. You can mod them to have more power, I think theyre 1.6 mhz, and I've seen people mod them to have 2.4. Not sure how much that makes a difference though

>> No.2302409

if you are really into retro, only the original controller is good enough.

>> No.2302442

Most of the reviews said that they weren't good, but I've had no problems with them.

>> No.2302445

why dont you get a good controller and buy a separate wireless usb hub?

>> No.2302453

>>2299068
I have a retrobit Genesis controller. It does its job, I have no complaints. I wouldn't mess with a wireless controller though, the input lag will make games a chore. Why not just get a nice chair and sit closer to the screen?

>> No.2302484

>>2299068
Why do you need wireless controllers? If your couch is too far away, just get an extension cable, so you can use the original controllers.

Acclaim had some wireless SNES controllers. They are IR though, so make sure your controllers have a clear view of the front of your SNES.

It sure looks comfy. I personally could never do very well with the classic SNES controllers; I dunno how those yoshi speed runners to it.
