Never see this game discussed here, which is a shame. It's in my mind the most polished, tight, stylish futuristic racer out there.

Really want to try the SE. How is it?

what's the thing with the pal version being the superior version again?

Awesome. Why would not want to play Wipeout 3 but with 8 extra tracks from earlier games?

Nope.

Oh
Well yeah, it happened. Said I might have to check it out, but no idea where I'd even find a copy.

It also has modified physics allowing more circuit shortcuts etc and a slightly lower framerate cus pal , i still play both versions.

I dislike the Special Edition. Aside from the lower framerate, the ships are TOO floaty. You can fly over the track half the time, which kinda ruins the point of having a well-designed track if you can act like it's not even there, and it's easier to clang off roofs if there's a upward slope before a tunnel.

The remade tracks are very cool though, so it's worth playing if you love Wipeout 3 like I do, but whenever I feel like playing 3 I fire up the regular NTSC version. That one still has my favorite physics of all the games.

I got the SE, 50 fps constant isn't too much diff from 60 constant anyway.

I also like the extra floatiness as it allows for more freedom in gameplay, there is a fair amount of extra stuff in the SE too.

Think of it as like a large DLC pack you would get these days for around 10-15 pounds. (About twenty Dollary-doos.

Soundtrack is ace of course.
dat Expander Trance song always get me in the mood :)

The top tier 90's cheatcodes are fun too!

I play both and in this case it is very noticeable not problematic but noticeable but yeah S.E has Gare d europa so more than worth it.
