This is one of those games that weren't very good but fanboys like to hype up due to the lack of exclusives on the N64.
Sorry.

I thought it was good, silly fun. Definitely was frustrating at times though. I can see why a lot of people wouldn't enjoy it, however.

So it turns out beta builds aren't so magical when you finally get a hold of them.

Yeah the N64 had virtually no exclusives - what with all those Nintendo games they ported to Playstation.

How 'bout an opinion from an outsider?

This place is something special. You should be proud of it. I've had more decent conversation about retro games and the days of vidya yore here in a business week than I got in a month going to....Other places that shall not be named. The only thing that's really gotten on my nerves is one of the janitors being an oversensitive cockmunch. Everything else seems great. I mean, look at the GBC thread: even though at least two posters in there obviously had a vehement difference of opinion, there's still a veritable truckload of 3D graphics knowledge that got generated from that collision of two Anons. I don't know about you, but that's a rare thing to have.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this board. One of the last few where you can actually have a discussion

That aside I actually liked Glover. It's a pain in the ass to get used to the clunkyness and strange/frustrating puzzles but once you git gud it becomes fun. At least that's how I felt as a kid. It's pretty dated now and it's not really worth the headache to learn the mechanics.

I was playing Glover for the first time at my friend's house just last week. I really liked it. Yes, it was kind of a pain in the ass to get used to the controls, but I liked that it was a platformer where you had to pay attention to the physics and stages were actual obstacle courses--i.e. it has actual challenging platforming. It's not a game where you just run around, hop, glide, and collect shit.

Plus, I always liked games like Marble Madness and their 3D counterparts where you have to roll things around in puzzle-like ways.
