Does anyone own one of these? What do you think?

The only sellers I can find are Japs on eBay and Amazon (UK), are there any reliable sellers of these out there? Not sure if they're discontinued but PlayAsia and SolarisJapan don't have them.

I don't have the space for a full CRT setup right now but I at least want the controller feeling.

There are thousands of gamepads like these. While I had only some cheap one and the original SNES european gamepad I'd recommend getting a decent one. Stay away from anything that costs $10 or if you don't really care about it looking like PS1 pad instead, get a Logitech Precision because that thing is seriously flawless and cheap.

I would avoid these. In my experience these usb gamepads feel much cheaper and lighter than the originals and the dpad is worse.

Best bet is to buy a used SNES/SFC controller and a mayflash adaptor

Strike FX for PS1/PS2 emulation? Anyone?

I heard that Buffalo makes good controllers, but "iBuffalo" is a cheap knockoff. Can anyone confirm?

>> No.2278395

my friend bought one of these 10yrs ago when we were in high school. Worked well and better than expected tbh.

i'd get that or use a current gen controller. These chineses knock-offs... would not buy.

It does feel lighter than the SNES controllers, but i think its otherwise pretty good. The D pad might not be as good as the og but it takes the piss out of the ones on modern consoles, If you are emulating, its unlikely this controller will be your weakest link.

mine says iBuffalo and it feels nearly as good as the real thing.

>> No.2278617

if using a mac they won't map, no fucking support

Windows/raspberry pi decent to shitty

to be honest i think the feel is off on the buttons and dpad

Most people seem to love it, has super high ratings

spend money on a ps3 controller, xbox, 8bitdo, etc

i returned mine because it was just very ok

I have an ibuffalo for my retro pie, its as close as it gets to the real thing. I bought mine from japs on ebay and it took around two weeks to arrive. dont faf around, just buy it.

I bought one and it's shit.

Even the dpad on my F310 is better.

>> No.2278698

I have one exactly like that, but it says Buffalo on it rather than iBuffalo

It's very nice.

It's the same company. iBuffalo is just a rebranding for their gaming products.

Is this implying Japanese sellers aren't reliable? I've never had a problem with them on amazon.

>> No.2278773

>>2278242
I do. They're mediocre and overpriced on ebay/Amazon.

>>2278387
I can confirm this is an easily disproved myth

You are a liar.
