Arcade-y dogfight game. You lead a team of four against opposing teams, to win you have to either shoot down all opposing craft or destroy their base's defence turrets. Main feature is a tournament mode where between rounds you can upgrade, buy and sell planes (all real-world craft by the way - you can rice the shit out of that Fokker DR 1), hire new pilots to replace ones you don't like, run test flights and all that jazz. Japanese version also had a story mode, but we apparently didn't deserve it.

One of the few games my mom likes, I remember we'd play it together. There was one particular spot where a big beast popped up going "YOU CANNOT PASS" until you cleared some certain stage, and that thing scared me so much I'd take the much longer detour instead of even trying to check if it'd let me pass. Some weird nostalgia with that game. I really liked the parts where you were the tank/ship/super ship, but the parts where you were spelunking as the girl were weird.
