Goddamn please I need your help. There was this game I had on PS1 when I was a kid as a demo disk and I can't fucking remember it's name and I just need to fucking know.

I remember it was dark, lighting wise. The soundtrack was dark and really dystopian. I think it was some sort of post-alien invasion setting and you played 3rd person as a human male with a gun. I can't remember whether or not you were a soldier or something, or maybe even part machine. It was a post-apocalyptic city setting and the aliens were tall humanoid shaped creatures with guns. They may have been machine, or part machine. I cant remember. Although I'm pretty certain it wasn't a terminator game, even though it's sounding more and more like it to me as I type.

Really the only things I can remember game-play wise was that there was a part where I had to move a box to jump up somewhere. And also I think it was a 'collect ammo' kind of game. Definitely not for my age group at the time. Bare in my mind I only had the demo.

The title was a sort of acronym name. I say acronym like 'ODST' in Halo ODST, but I think there was a number in there too. And I feel like there was an O or 0 in there, or maybe an E. I'm pretty sure there was a vowel. I have a strong feeling also that it was just 2 characters.

Damn I'd be so grateful if someone could help me here.

check your old thread on /v/ m8 a lot of people answered including me

it's probably this game though.

C-12: Final Resistance is a video game developed by SCE Studio Cambridge for the PlayStation. It was released in Europe on April 6, 2001 and in North America on July 22, 2002. It also came on a Twin Pack CD bundled with MediEvil in 2003.

The story is set in the future, as aliens have invaded in an attempt to harvest all of the Earth's carbon resources (C-12 is a reference to 12C, the most abundant isotope of carbon). The player uses Lieutenant Riley Vaughan, a cybernetic human soldier, and member of the underground resistance. The player undertakes missions played out in a third-person view, killing aliens and cyborgs, collecting weapons and keys, and the like.

Sounds like O.D.T. (Or Die Trying) to me. It's a pretty fun game, action-platformer with RPG elements. Multiple playable characters, too.

I got ODT with my PSone back in the day and hated the shit out of it.

Wonder how it's aged.

I hated it as a kid because I had no idea what I was doing in it, but I tried it again a couple of years ago and had some fun with it. A solid 6/10, IMO.
