What do you think? I'm looking at picking up the Zelda 1 Famicom Mini next.

stylin' as fuck

It looks great. It's too bad my monster hands can't hold the Micro properly because it's so small ;_;

GBA Micro is one of the greatest devices ever invented but I don't think I can handle mario's voice in those remakes

It's pretty small for me too. I prefer using my original GBA.

Anyone know where I can still get a backlight for it?

>>2245594
I wasn't aware of that. It's that bad?

>> No.2245650

I still prefer SP

Sweet Mother 3 Micro!

regarding fps, and library:
SP: runs at 50fps, plays GB. GBC and GBA
Micro: runs at 60fps (like original), limited to GBA library.

Is 60fps really necessary for game boys?

I'm not an expert, but if the original GBA was designed to run at 60fps, then you would think that game designers designed at least certain parts of games to run at 60 fps. On the other hand, if they decided to drop 10fps for whtever reason, the impact is probably very low if not, practically not noticebale...

i think you can get a kit that will adapter the gba101's backlight screen to the originals. i've considered doing this since i have 2 101's and i'd really like an original one with a nice screen.

>> No.2247705

>>2247702
You change the screen completely; it's encased in a metal-aluminium like structure. You also have to cut some plastic off the GBA original case, Because the screen from the SP+/SP doesn't fit.

>SP+ (backlit): runs at 50fps,
What? Is this because of the movement blur?

>> No.2247758

>>2247724
Why does it run at 50fps you ask? I don't know mate, I do know that the backlit version runs at 50fps, and it's the only GBA that runs at that screen refresh rate. They dropped 10fps when changing the front light for the back light.

>The updated GBA SP's screen is now on par with the Game Boy Micro, at least in brightness and clarity. But it's not perfect -- the refresh rate is a tad slower than the classic GBA SP and Game Boy Micro screen, so there's an ever so subtle "blur" when objects move or the screen scrolls. The color saturation is also a little stronger -- reds are particularly more powerful on this screen than in GBA past. But the trade-off is well worth it, and the updated screen makes SP gaming far more enjoyable, both in low and high lit situations.

I loooove that Famicom micro, though I don't have any of the carts like that.

Got the Player 2 faceplate at Christmas. Was a great day.
