What other recommended game lists are out there for /vr/ systems?

>recommending Metroid
I know you didn't make this list yourself, but seriously, WHY.
Metroid 1 is complete ass and aged horribly, and even if you disagree with that you can't really argue that Zero Mission wasn't objectively better.

I really feel like people have always recommended Metroid because 'all the others have been great, so of course the first must be great!'

It's a good game. The other Metroid games are just better.

But even if it is better, it's not a NES game, so is irreverent for a list of recommended NES games.

Metroid 1 is undeniably a good game

according to your logic, you can easily continue with
>recommending any atari game
they all aged quite bad, didn't they?

anyway, thanks for the lists, especially the SNES one... if someone could add titles to boxes with non-English names, it would be really appreciated

>Zero Mission
>"Objectively" better

Better controls, sound and graphics, sure. But it's a hand holding, casual shitfest that can be completed in 4 hours on your very first run. It only gets "hard" near the very end of the game, witch is a shoehorned in action/stealth segment. Right before you get the fully upgraded powersuit and are effectively unstoppable.

I don't know. I just feel that being an "upgrade" doesn't make a game better than the original. Especially when the original is based on open ended exploration, has tons of secrets and optional content and is actually, genuinely challenging.

Like I said, other than the controls, sounds and graphics, Zero Mission is in all ways worse than the original Metroid.

Also, Zero Mission isn't /vr/. So go to /v/ if you want to talk about that casual trash.

Found this one, but it's not very useful.

This list is pretty good but it misses out on a few titles I'd throw on there.

No Splatterhouse is a big wtf.

I leave /vr/ for like 2 months, come back and we're infested with fucking filthy /v/ casuals. Why?
