The european Megaman box art is actually much better on the whole than the American one. With the exeption of the earliest games in the series, the european artists generally tried to stay closer to the original design. It's particularly noticable in the box art of Megaman II and III for the Gameboy, where the only differences are the faces. The european Megaman has his regular manga-ish face, whereas the US version looks like a creepy midget.
