place your bets on whether the sd2snes will ever get superfx and sa-1 chip compatibility

also, snes general. im building a collection before i pull the trigger on buying

doubt it.
would require reengineering and producing new chips or adding an FPGA to reproduce the behavior, not really sure either option is economical

the developer himself said they'd it's unlikely to ever happen. he said there's always a possibility, albeit unlikely, that he might be able to figure out a work around for the existing hardware(though he's not actively looking), but as of right now it looks like it would need to be redesigned, and he's not doing that.

there's really not that many games that don't work, and only a couple of them are worth playing. $200 for 99+% of the system library ain't bad.
