Also I only play 720 once a year on July 20th. It's a thing I have.

No. Read his autobiography.

THPS3 was the first game I ever played online

I always just played half pipe mode. The animation was really something.

It's weird that it's basically two somewhat similar games on one cart with almost no shared assets.

what's the truth, I dont have time to read that? I am curious because I have heard that rumor in a few places.

The truth is that he started skateboarding on a cheap plastic skateboard that a family member gave to him, and became hooked on skateboarding after seeing his first skatepark, which he became a regular visitor thereof.

I certainly did not mean any disrespect to the pipe, it too was quite awesome. I really loved the competitions of the first Skate or Die too, and the story mode in 2 was way off-kilter from the original. I'm mostly just impressed with it because it's so... innocuous? Or unexpected maybe.

Of all the "adventure" style games on the NES, it's probably one of the most forgotten and least spoken of. Even I had completely forgotten about it until this thread popped up, but as a kid I sunk so much time into it.

this was at a time when generally noble vagabonds still frequented the countryside and weren't just all molesters. Back then skate parks were a meeting place for drug users, drug sellers, artists, homeless people etc. it still is.

When Tony Hawk started, skateparks where something else. The things you describe came ten years later.
