Animal Forest is Animal Crossing. They were first developing the game for N64 but pushed it to Gamecube when it was released. It wasn't completely finished I don't think but the ROM was dumped online.

Pretty sure it was original for N64 in Japan, was translated and updated for the english markets, and then rerereleased back in Japan with the updates for the English version.
