Hey there, /vr/. I got a quick question for you. I've been wanting to get more Saturn games, but it seems all the good games cost a good chunk of change (between $30-50). What are some good Saturn games that aren't too hard on the wallet? Thanks in advance!

Check out flea markets and in the summer hit garage sales.

I should probably post what games I do have:
Battle Arena Toshiden
Bug!
Clockwork Knight
D
Daytona USA
Doom
Duke Nukem 3D
Fighters Megamix
Fighting Vipers
Mr Bones
Necrinomicon (import)
Nights into Dreams
Sonic 3D Blast
Sonic R
Street Fighter Alpha
Tomb Raider
Virtua Fighter 2
Virtual On
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3

Honestly, unless you're a hardcore purist, the best solution is to go with a modchip. It seems like they're getting harder to find though.

Where can these be found? most guides to modding a Saturn link to stores that have been sold out of those, and I can't even find anything on eBay.

I also have a model 2 US Saturn, in case you would know where to direct me.

I've been collecting Saturn games for the past few months. Here's all the good games that are <$60

Dark Savior
Legend of Oasis
Die Hard Arcade
Panzer Dragoon
Panzer Dragoon Zwei
Virtual On
Darius Gaiden
Layer Section 2 (JP)
Burning Rangers PAL is $60, apparently it works fine in 60hz aside from the opening movie.
Three Dirty Dwarves
Guardian Heroes can probably be had for $60 but it won't be a perfect copy.
Astal
Mr Bones
Nights
Parodius
Assault Suit Leynos 2 (JP)
Iron Storm
Silhouette Mirage (JP)
Sexy Parodius
Thunder Force 5 hovers around $60 (JP)
Metal Slug (JP)
Dragon Force 2 (JP - Has English fan translation)

Most of the arcade-perfect fighters are inexpensive but i'm not that clued up on them.

The JP versions of the more expensive US games are almost always cheaper, and this is how some people collect for the Saturn. The only expensive Japan games are a handful of shooters and that one game that had its production line shut down early.

If you want you can wait till GDEMU starts making Rheas again.

How's compatibility on those?

Near perfect. Out of the 50 or so games I've tried, only 1 of them had MINOR problems (cd audio not playing). Everything else not only worked perfect, it worked even better than from a real cd drive.

I cant wait to get one, hopefully someone is working on a menu system so i dont have to press that shitty button.

Is installation hard? How do I know when he sells some more of these? Seems like you can only buy the Dreamcast thing.

>Is installation hard

CD drive cable and at 5v power source that can be external if you don't want to solder anything to the main board.

You have to keep an eye on his website, the initial saturn pcbs he sold were pretty much prototype boards for model 1 saturns only
