Paper Mario's ending. It's more of a happy emotion than anything, but I tear up a little bit - just seeing all the effort the developers put into it. Not only do you get an amazing final boss battle, and get to see what became of all your party members, you control Mario right before the credits and speak to almost every major NPC in the game to see how their subplots turned out, and have an amazing parade sequence where pretty much every character in the game makes an appearance. Then, the music when Mario and Peach quietly go off together to look at fireworks, like most of the other things in this thread:

You get this sense of completion that I've never seen anywhere else, and it never loses its quiet, idealistic atmosphere. It feels like a storybook. Other Mario RPGs had great plots and great writing, but I feel like this one did the best job at showing the exact details of the Mario/Peach/Bowser relationship, especially during the final battle.

Super mario RPG. Seeing Geno leave back to the heavens as a kid always made me come to the realization that the adventure was over. Also the music that plays during the scenes where the seven stars reveal the repairing of the carnage in bowsers castle, Johnny looking out into the sea, boomer and Valentina marrying, etc. is incredibly feels-inducing, called Goodbye Geno/Dreams through Window Stars:

Yeah, this was so fucking rough when I was a kid. Jesus. Cried like a bitch.

Later, I would beat Star Fox 64. I had an older brother who I always thought of as way better at games, and I just assumed I couldn't beat the ones he found hard. One day I started up SF64 and just...didn't die that much. It was a big revelation that there was an end to the game, so I decided to try and reach it. I did--I was about twelve--and was greeted with this:

Along with Fox's dad showing up at the endgame, this cinematic was so fucking epic and awesome. Fell in love with it, cried when the Great Fox showed up at the end. Dat MUSIC.

The ending of Athena made me cry pretty hard.

I'd played that game so many times as a kid. I struggled so hard to beat it.
Even once I emulated it it still took so much practice and effort to finally reach the ending.

and it was a frozen screen with looping level 1 music. I had to look at 3 speedruns just to make sure that was the real ending.

All the main series Phantasy Star endings are pretty satisfying in my opinion, but 4 in particular always makes me tear up, mostly because it's just hard saying goodbye to everybody.

A lot of other games' endings are memorable to me as well. Some particularly resonant ones for me are Nights into Dreams, Radiant Silvergun, Monster World 4, the Mother series, and Metroid 2 which was already mentioned. As long as it's not just a Congratulations screen and credits then I'm pretty easy to please. Also, even though they tend to be short, I love the silly endings in Psikyo shmups. Although I usually feel like games in the Shining series deserve stronger endings than they get.

I remember that I couldnt beat the game because I was terrified by Andross, I played that game so many times that when I finally saw the ending I felt so good and accomplished
The credits rolled as I was there staring at the screen hearing that music
Then, years after, I figured out how to go through the "hard" way and got the real ending, with fox's father showing up and the epic scape.
I can't really describe the meaning that game has to me.
