what do you think of these?
i'm not decided yet, they seem to work fine but the buttons don't show, which kinda ruins everything for me

I use md.emu

I use a PSP for emulation on the go.

Ports of free emulators to get money from idiots.

Retroarch is the same exact emulators. For free instead of for money.

Normalfags are fucking scum and fools.

I'll admit it's kinda bullshit, he asks a bit too much and as far as I can tell he isn't passing any donations or code upstream, but at least broglia releases the source and attributes credit where it is due. There are so many, so very many shady fucking emulators on the play store that are total rip-offs that don't even abide by the terms of the gpl/etc that it's refreshing to see someone play by the rules for once. Some of them aren't even shady but conveniently decide the rules don't apply to them (dosbox turbo).

Anyways, if you don't like it you can either pirate the apks (i did) or there is one dev who recompiled them from source and posted them for free on gplay, but they are super fucking out of date. If only f-droid could quit crying and host it...

Pretty much. Retroarch is still fucking shit until it gets unzip support.

>> No.2129028

>>2128923
It got both .zip and .7zip loading a few months ago, though the Google Play Store build is massively out of date and won't have any of this.

Nes.emu and snes ex

Both free and work fine

I did have some flickering on smb1 and the touch controls are aliitle harder to get used to

I use RetroArch for everything except MAME becae the games are so varied and dont follow a gamepad standard that in a few cases they are in dire need of remapping or at least to my liking. Console/handheld emus are mapped just fine and mupen core lets me swith AB to AX on my shield.

touch controls are always shit.
maybe with ds emulation it's alright, but that's not retro.

Honestly? He offers proper support for the emulators and abides by the GPL properly. If something is wrong, you tell him on Twitter and it's literally fixed within the week. Like, that's the actual experience I've had with him.

that being said, Retroarch IS free, and it's piss easy to use and works, and the .emu guy does massively overcharge on some of them

>>2128828
I'm with this guy. Been using PicoDrive on my PSP to play Shadow Dancer. Works like a treat.

No, not quite.

.emu has frameskip and other things for lesser devices. Especially GBA which is slow as fuck in RA. And the UI is better.

>> No.2134186

>>2134136
It's also got better controller support.

>> No.2134187

I use an xperia play with nes.emu and it works quite well, no complaints and there wiimote support

>> No.2134228

These are my favorite emulators to use. I think they are simple, easy to configure and I like the uniformity of their GUI
