Those 3 are the most obvious ones. Don't forget to also check:

Mr. Bones

I didn't delve much into the Saturn library myself, though. Bough one recently as well.

Do you speak Japanese? That helps a lot.

Other than games, you'll also want one of these bad boys. It allows you to play imports and doubles as a ram cart and save manager.

It'll make getting copies of things like Panzer Dragoon and Fighters Megamix a lot cheaper, with neglable differences and sometimes improvements, like in Daytona's CE edition.

Really nice platformer with a wacky theme.

Pretty standard SHMUP, I like it. Saturn version is possibly best version (a bit on the easy side comparatively, however).

Get a chip and burn it tier (too expensive):
>Radiant Silvergun

If you can into Japanese tier:
>Daina Airan (Dinosaur Island)
>Yumimi Mix Remix
These are doing real-time animation on the Saturn hardware. Pretty as fuck.

My favorite Saturn game, thats a bit of a hidden gem developed by Atlus.

Some of the most amazing 2D graphics on the system, and has a great story and gameplay.

It's only in Japanese, but it's playable with a English Walkthrough. After each play through you unlock another character with their own story.

More people need to play this!

Played the crappy PSP port. Would love to play the Saturn version but it's pretty expensive and I don't care enough to buy it. Game could have been better. Better combat system, deeper RPG mechanics, better dungeon design and the entire game playing with Gradriel only instead of the other crappy characters and this game would have been a lot better.

Gradriel is adorable.

The PSP port was so lazy, like they didn't bother with the screen aspect ratio. But you have to admit playing it on a PSP 3000 the graphics looked so sharp.

I payed £30 for the Saturn version, considering i got about 40hrs of gameplay out of it, not too bad.

Yes at times it has repetitive combat and Dungeons. Like the last Dungeon, which was basically a never ending staircase.

It was much more of an action game then a RPG i agree. I enjoyed playing as Proserpina and Edward because of the different combat styles. Which added to the replay value a bit.

Still if you own a Saturn you need to experience this game.

Would look better on my CRT.

The last dungeon was terrible. Most dungeons late in the game were terrible and it doesn't help that there are like five monsters top in this entire game. It had some good ideas put into it though, I would have loved to see a newer title using a similar one on one combat system.

Yes Princess Crown can be slow and at times and boring. It was very much the amazing detail of the 2D backgrounds and character models that kept me so interested in it.

Yes! Bulk Slash is an amazing game which is often forgotten.

It really pushed the Saturn showing that it could do great 3D as well as 2D.

The gameplay is so addicting, being able to fly as a craft aswell as transform into a mech, for air and ground combat.

The soundtrack is amazing, level design is great and the controls are tight. One of my favs on the system.

Nights, obviously. But I like the controller a lot more over the standard ones that I bought like 4 for multiplayer.

You know, I haven't dealt with my Saturn since the next generation of consoles came out. But I could swear that back in the day, I never bought a mod chip for it to play Japanese games. I remember modding the case and putting a switch in the back. Might have been an old model before companies started cracking down on regions.
