Dearest /vr/,

I would like to thank you all for the recommendation of Earthbound (Aka Mother 2). Since then, I have downloaded it on my Wii U, and well... I dont think I have played a better RPG game. For a solo RPG, this game is quite the amazing adventure. The music is amazing. This story and journey are perfect.

I like the game, but it's no amasterpiece. The battle system is really quite underwhelming.
Mother 3's little additions to that make the game a lot more fun.

So, is almost every JRPG battle system underwhelming for you? Because Earthbound has quite the standard JRPG battle system.

That's the problem, it's all so standard. The only unique thing really is the health counter.

Yeah, that's true.

I don't personally see it as a problem, as I don't mind vanilla JRPG games. I love all the DQs, so just adding a fun atmosphere and writing on to a DQ makes a great game in my eyes.
