low res snes emulator

i have some emulators on my mame cabinet and they all work great, with the exception of my snes emu. im wondering if anyone here knows what snes emulator is good for low resolution monitors? the snes emulator is zmz (a zsnes look-a-like with snes9x and bsnes cores) i have a wells gardner D9200 and an avga2 video card. the WG can display low res but when i pick any, there are borders around all 4 sides of the display. im wondering how i can stretch the screen w/o using (resorting to) hardware stretching
