Which /vr/ yu gi oh game is the best?

>> No.2087932

Dark Duel Stories because childhood.

I'd probably be more into the Capsule Monster Chess GB game, but it isn't fully translated yet. But, yes, Dark Duel Stories certainly has its charm, particularly being able to make custom monsters out of the parts. I wish they put that into later games.

This was my favorite. Namely because it was just the cardgame in video game format, no gimmicky bullshit.

It is quite curious how this game is so flawed, yet I come back to it time after time. I guess the soundtrack and the super simple gameplay and flow make for a pleasant experience.

I bought this game when i was younger, expecting an action game. Shit was used and didnt have the original case to look at. Got real pissed at the cards.

15 or so years later and i think 'damn that game sounds cool i want to play some cards fuck yeah'... Game is scratched beyond repair, can't bring it back to life, can't be assed to swap out a burned copy. ;_;

Certainly not this one, the cheating motherfucker.
Goddamn this game made me so mad as a kid.

This (And I believe The Sacred Cards and Reshef of Destruction) were really interesting deviations from the original concept of the game. Forbidden Memories problems don't stem from the whole fusion and Guardian Star elements - they stem from the drop tables being horribly set up and having to get lucky to grind your way up to good droppers such as Meadow Mage and Heishin 1. Not to mention having to 40 turn stall the computer to get power-up Spells. And nobody could forget the 6 people final boss gauntlet stacked with 3500/3750/4500 monsters.

If the GBA is /vr/, the best entry to me was WC2006. But that doesn't seem /vr/ to me, so I'll say Forbidden Memories for the music.

I like this game but all actual yu gi oh tactics go out the fucking window.

>> No.2090886

OP's pic and this are the only one's I've played. Forbidden Memories is brutal at first until you learn all of the polymerization combos. Man I miss playing classic Yugioh as a kid in elementary school. I'm glad I got out of it before it turned into what it is now.

Between all the 2 Yu-Gi-Oh games with an English release that fits into /vr/?

Why has no one said Duelists of the Roses?

I would buy Yu-gi-oh games just for the cards and then return them.
