In the autoexec section at the end of the .conf file, change game.inst to game.gog (effectively mounting the .bin instead of the .cue, which prevents the game from finding the CD audio tracks)

In Blood.ini, there is a section with details for each map. Add a semicolon at the beginning of each line starting with "track." (negating the lines in the blood settings that reference CD audio) You should remove any semicolons before lines starting with "song," as these will negate the lines referencing MIDI music assignments.

Anyone have any ideas what they'd wanna see for GMOTA's charged sword throw effect? Right now it just kinda explodes and I feel that's pretty weak shit. I just kinda threw it in there.

I first tried to do a charge-up strike, and that didn't work out, since both you guys and I positively hated it.
Then I tried to do combo attacks and that didn't work out, the testers had a really hard time keeping track of where they were in the combo with all the fast movement and dodging.

So I went back to what another anon said about the main focus of defense being the sword--so now the sheathe actually has the best block, shooting out five barricades four times, each lasting a few tics.
But I kept in the three-hit combo as sort of a reference to what could have been.

It's not 100% perfect, but people seem really fond of thwacking people, so...yay?

Is there a way to make armor an item that can be picked up, stored in your inventory, and be taken off/replaced if you find a better armor, but you can take it out again. The armor would affect some of the players stats and movement. Another thing would be that I would want the armor to only reduce damage from monsters only, since I have conditions like bleed that is reduced by normal armor since it's normal damage.

Although, if we're going to include unorthodox strategies, there's a bug in vanilla that allows you to "pin" the Mastermind and make it incapable of fighting at all, meaning you can actually do a pacifist run of E3M8 by pinning the mastermind and letting the other demons kill it. Okay, I've got some ideas I've been throwing about while at work, tell me if they're dumb or not:

Like how the punch has a special charge attack I was thinking the other weapons (Sword, Axe & Hammer) could all have special charge attacks too - for example, the Hammer of Retribution, when charged, could be slammed to the ground with immense force which would cause eruptive fissures to appear in a line ahead of the player (think Maulotaur's fire-wave attack but on a larger scale). Don't know what to do with Timon's Axe, maybe it makes lightning scatter in a small cone?

For the mage, I was thinking of giving him several methods of casting, he starts with his hands, but can use Tomes, Staffs and Orbs, each having their own special abilities, for example if the Mage has the Blood Orb equipped, spells cost 50% less mana but in return, the player's health is drained slowly or perhaps an Earthen Wand which boosts power of Earth based magic.

When you call upon the runes to create a spell you're given a certain amount of Spell Tokens, or charges for your spell. For example, if you call the Fireball spell, you're given 3 tokens which each time you cast the fireball spell you lose a token, when you lose all your tokens you have to re-call the spell. Different spells would have different amounts of tokens, like an earth shattering Level 5 spell might only have one token while a spell to deflect oncoming projectiles might have 10.

>Rogue Class
A fourth class, a master of silent attacks and thievery (Dick ass thief), starts off with a fist-dagger. Would be able to perform critical strikes on enemies from behind. Would be able to Double Jump or dash a greater distance than the other three classes. The tradeoff would be weak starting weaponry and low health and perhaps the inability to wear heavy armour items. Would have a grapple hook with unlimited uses,

I honestly think the Hammer is the best weapon at building rank for a few reasons.
1) It stunlocks
2) You can attack freely while enemies are stunlocked
3) Lightning field disintergrates lasers from zombies
4) It's really easy to dash into a group and bonk them once for free meter

It's my go to weapon for meter building and I'm about 99% melee focused.
The only times I use guns is with the grenade launcher and that's to bombard archviles out of range and the SMG on those wraiths that summon souls.

To give these weapons meter gain would probably make it silly.
Especially since the Hammer already gives me S ranks like nothing.

That's exactly the sound direction I wanted--an anime dub voice, sounding right out of a late 90s/early 00s show. The overall theme of the mod is a love-letter back to retro entertainment, and I seriously lucked out in getting a VA that nails that sound perfectly.
Besides, Hae-Lin isn't supposed to be a major badass--she thinks of herself as just a girl who happened to stumble into a great position through sheer chance, not that she's anyone special or powerful. There's too many "hardcore" characters who scoff through every scenario with a snide one-liner to show just how too cool for school they are, I wanted a character who could go through a massive fight and then scream "OH MY GOD THAT WAS SO AWESOME".

has it. Group attacks as a whole are generally a no-go for any addition to the combo meter. It's already incredibly abusable to do a side special or a dash special into a crowd and suddenly hit S-rank, I'd really rather not even take a chance with group attacks for guns.
There's also the technical side of things--the way combo increase works is that the bullet on impact with the enemy gives inventory back to the player. Explosions are...very indirect, and have no way of notifying who got hit with what it.

I think live action movies tend to benefit from subtitles more than dubbing, but since lip flapping in cartoons doesn't really match speech very accurately to begin with, it doesn't look visually jarring to hear English voices, and most importantly (to me, anyway), Japanese voice overs in anime tend to have a lot of SCREAMING IN A VERY HIGH REGISTER THAT MAKES MY EARS BLEED, and all of the women sound like air escaping from a stretched balloon.
