I have a friend who is a retro gamer. He is really big into Sega and Sonic games, but also enjoys games like shinobi, vectorman, and dkc. He hates rpg's though. I have seen him play pso on the dreamcast, but other than that he never plays rpg's.

Just because they're talking about video games doesn't mean they will share your enthusiasm or have anything at all to say about a two decade old obscure NES title released in Japan only.

I'm lucky if my friends play a single video game per year. I was excited to learn that one of them actually played GTA5. Mostly they just drink and watch football. They know I'm real into video games but we don't talk about it.
