In my experience, those that hate Deus Ex either can't play FPS games or they never really gave it a shot. Even people that don't really get the praise at least admit it's a well done game.

It's an incredibly flawed game, I think most of us can agree. However I see it as a pretty good translation of LTTP to 3D. Not a great one, a pretty good one.

It did a lot of things wrong, because they didn't really know what they hell they were doing at the time, but it did a lot of things right too, like atmosphere, music, and scope.

Overall, it's a perfectly fine game. It may not have aged all that well, but still. Perfectly fine
